A submission for Waltham Forest’s Making Places public art commission.
The proposal involved a large scale ceramic installation for Leyton Midland Road Station, bringing colour, light and delight to this unloved area. The installation of hundreds of colourful 3d tiles would be created through community clay workshops, led by architect and local Leyton ceramicist, Lydia Johnson.
